Amine Gouiri of Nice, who is frequently compared to Karim Benzema, is a striker who Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing.

Gouiri has developed into one of European football's most exciting young forwards since moving from Lyon to Nice in 2020. In the most recent season, the 22-year-old forward played in every Ligue 1 and Coupe de France match, making 43 appearances while tallying 12 goals and ten assists.

For Real Madrid, starting the season without a striker to back up Karim Benzema could be disastrous if the French international suffers an injury. As a result, once they are successful in getting rid of Mariano, they are prepared to sign a new center forward, with Carlo Ancelotti considering Gouiri as one possibility.

According to L’Equipe, France Under-21 international is valued at €40 million by the Ligue 1 club. Real Madrid will not have any trouble making that amount, so they are considering the possibility of signing Gouiri, who could serve as Benzema's backup before eventually taking over as the main forward at the Santiago Bernabeu.
