The NFL has expanded outside of the United States in recent years. Every year, the League holds matches in Frankfurt and London, and it now appears that Madrid will follow the same path.
The most recent rumors state that an NFL game in Madrid is "all but locked in for 2024." Although the venue for the debut game has not yet been chosen, the Santiago Bernabeu of Real Madrid is thought to be in the lead, followed closely by the Civitas Metropolitano of Atletico Madrid.
After undergoing renovations over the summer, the Bernabeu is now categorized as a multi-purpose arena, making it suitable for hosting a variety of events, including NFL games.
