Real Madrid will officially unveil Spanish international centre-back Dean Huijsen as the club’s first signing for the upcoming Club World Cup this Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. (CET), during a presentation at Real Madrid City.
Huijsen will first be welcomed by club president Florentino Pérez, who will oversee the formal signing of a five-year contract. The presentation will then take place in the basketball pavilion at the training complex, where the player will also be introduced to his new teammates before joining his first training session under Xabi Alonso.
The 19-year-old defender arrives from Bournemouth, with Real Madrid agreeing to pay the €58 million release clause in multiple installments. His signing follows the conclusion of his international duties with Spain, who lost to Portugal in the Nations League final on penalties in Munich.
After returning to Madrid on Monday, Huijsen will now begin a new chapter at the Santiago Bernabéu, where he is expected to strengthen the team’s defensive line ahead of their debut in the Club World Cup on June 18 against Al Hilal.
