In comparison, Villarreal sit second on the list with 20 goals annulled, followed by Sevilla with 19, Atlético de Madrid with 18, and Celta Vigo with 17. Real Sociedad are next with 16, while Barcelona, Espanyol, and Valencia each have 14.
The numbers are striking: Real Madrid have seen almost three times as many goals canceled as their eternal rivals Barcelona, a difference of 23. These controversial statistics have only fueled further anger among Madrid fans, who view VAR as consistently working against their team.
