Real Madrid are reportedly unhappy with the kickoff time set for their LaLiga Matchday 12 clash against Valencia at Mestalla on November 4. According to Diario AS, the club is concerned about the scheduling, as the team will travel to Athens just three days earlier to face AEK in the Champions League.
The timing of the Valencia fixture would leave Real Madrid with a particularly demanding week, forcing them to prepare for a domestic away match shortly after their European trip. The club reportedly feels the schedule does not adequately account for the short recovery period between the two games.
The situation is further complicated by the international break. After visiting Mestalla, Real Madrid will not play again until November 22, meaning the Valencia match will be their final fixture before the break.
According to the report, other Spanish teams competing in the Champions League on Wednesday have been scheduled to play their domestic league matches on Sunday. This leaves Real Madrid facing a tighter turnaround than their rivals during the final week before the international break.
