There has been a lot of speculation about Lunin’s future this season. He was expected to leave this summer, but especially after Courtois’ new injury, it’s looking more likely than ever that he will stay on for a few more years.
Lunin's current deal expires in 2025, but he may stay in the Spanish capital for a little longer because, according to Relevo, Real Madrid will present a new contract offer to the player in the upcoming weeks.
Lunin probably sees himself as Courtois' successor at Real Madrid, especially if the Belgian's injuries continue to disturb him. He may even have the opportunity to capture the starting spot next season, even if Thibaut is back and fit.
