Real Madrid reportedly show interest in Santos center-forward Marcos Leonardo, according to reports from Brazil. The 20-year-old striker has had a fantastic season in 2023, scoring 21 goals across all competitions, which has put him on the radar of elite European clubs, including Real Madrid and Newcastle United.
As per the latest update from Goal Brazil, Santos is thinking about selling their asset, and the striker's entourage is also trying to get him a move to Europe in January 2024. They explain how much Real Madrid will have to pay if they want to sign Marcos Leonardo.
Leonardo has a contract with Santos that runs until December 31, 2026, and comes with a €100 million release clause. But they seem to be ready to accept offers in the region of €15 million plus add-ons, and it now remains to be seen if Real Madrid are ready to meet that valuation in the upcoming transfer market or in the summer.
