Real Madrid are once again looking to strengthen their future squad, with the club reportedly working on a deal to sign Manchester United youngster JJ Gabriel.
According to Mario Cortegana, there is confidence at Valdebebas that Real Madrid can secure the highly rated attacker, although they face strong competition from several of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Gabriel, just 15 years old, has reportedly requested that Manchester United cancel his registration immediately, with the intention of leaving the club as a free agent. The request has surprised the English side, which remains hopeful of finding a solution and keeping the youngster.
The teenager is regarded as one of the brightest talents in Manchester United’s academy and recently made a huge impression on his UEFA Youth League debut by scoring a hat-trick.
Real Madrid will have to compete with Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich for Gabriel’s signature. With his situation at Manchester United now potentially opening the door to a move, Real Madrid are looking to take advantage and add another highly rated young talent to their academy.
