Contract negotiations between Real Madrid and Vinicius Jr. have reportedly reached a standstill, with talks delayed not only by the World Cup but also by differences over the player's salary demands.
According to the report, the Brazilian forward is seeking a contract on a level comparable to Kylian Mbappé's as both compete for the status of the club's biggest star.
Interest from abroad continues to grow, with transfer journalist Ekrem Konur reporting that a major Premier League club is preparing an offer worth £137 million (€159 million) for Vinicius. The identity of the club has not been revealed, although it is described as one of England's biggest teams.
If no agreement is reached over a contract extension, Vinicius would be able to enter the final year of his deal, increasing speculation over his future. In that scenario, Real Madrid could consider a sale rather than risk losing the Brazilian without receiving a transfer fee.
