The RFEF officially confirmed on Saturday the referee team for Real Oviedo vs. Real Madrid, the second league match of the season at the Carlos Tartiere.
Ricardo De Burgos Bengoetxea has been appointed as the match referee, with Iker De Francisco and Asier Pérez De Mendiola serving as his assistants. José Alberto Pardeiro will act as the fourth official, while Javier Iglesias Villanueva will oversee VAR, assisted by Juan Luis Pulido Santana.
De Burgos, the Biscay-born referee, has officiated Real Madrid on 26 occasions. The most recent — and one of the most notable — was the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona, a match remembered for Antonio Rüdiger’s expulsion, which led to a six-match suspension for the German defender. By coincidence, Rüdiger makes his return to action this very matchday, after completing that ban.
