Rodrygo's recent injury scare has turned out to be less serious than initially feared. The Brazilian forward, who was hurt during Brazil's quarterfinal match against Uruguay, is expected to return to Real Madrid training soon.

The incident occurred when Uruguayan defender Nahitan Nández made a strong tackle on Rodrygo, causing concern for the Real Madrid star. Rodrygo attempted to drive through the center with the ball but was brought down by Nández. Initial scans have revealed no serious damage to his ankle or ligaments.

Rodrygo left the stadium limping and with ice on his ankle. He will undergo further medical evaluation before taking a short vacation. Despite the painful tackle that bent his leg awkwardly, Rodrygo was able to continue playing until he was substituted in the 87th minute for Martinelli. He did not participate in the penalty shootout, which Brazil ultimately lost, leading to their elimination from the tournament.

The Mexican referee, Jaime Herrera, initially issued a yellow card for the foul but upgraded it to a red card after a VAR review. Despite the harsh challenge, Rodrygo's swift recovery means he will soon be back in action for Real Madrid.
