Surprise developments at Valdebebas as Rodrygo has made a swift return to the training pitch, just nine days ahead of Real Madrid’s crucial Champions League clash against Liverpool. The Brazilian forward was initially expected to be sidelined for five to six weeks due to an injury to the rectus femoris muscle in his left leg. However, his early return to training, working with the ball, suggests he may be back sooner than anticipated, which is great news for Carlo Ancelotti as the team resumes preparations.

Rodrygo suffered the muscle injury during the match against Osasuna on November 9, shortly after recovering from a previous left hamstring issue sustained in the game against Dortmund. In that match, he was sidelined for 14 days before returning against Osasuna, where he lasted just 20 minutes before signaling for a substitution.

Rodrygo’s faster-than-expected recovery offers hope for his availability in the high-stakes match at Anfield, giving Ancelotti an important attacking option as Real Madrid faces Liverpool.
