Ahead of the huge game between Brazil and Argentina, Rodrygo spoke to the press and explained the situation after the injury of his teammate Vinicius Junior.

"This game will be one of my most important games for Brazil. We’re all sad over Vinicius’ injury, and I think there will be more expected from me”, he said.

Vinicius returned to Madrid to start his recovery process. He is not expected to play again before February.

Now, with the unfortunate absence of Vinicius, all the focus will be on Rodrygo, who will try to lead his country to a victory against their arch rivals after two consecutive defeats to Uruguay and Colombia. Rodrygo has scored just four goals in 19 Brazil appearances so far in his international career including two in the 5-1 September win over Bolivia.
