During the past year or two, there has been much discussion about Santiago Giménez's future. The 22-year-old Mexican has been in outstanding form in Holland, where he is now topping the Eredivisie scoring statistics and emerging as one of the league's most notable players.
The player was reportedly linked to Chelsea, Tottenham, and Arsenal by the English media. Soon after, Tomás Roncero requested that Real Madrid keep a watch on the forward, and it appears that at the Bernabéu they took his request into consideration.
According to transfer expert Ekrem Konour, Real Madrid are certainly interested in the player and "could make a move for Giménez in January." Joselu replaced Benzema after his departure, but Real Madrid still seem to be lacking in goals.

Santiago Giménez is worth about €25 million, but Feyenoord would only sell their star player for between €40 million and €50 million due to his brilliant performances in the Eredivisie.
