The Santiago Bernabeu stadium will host more supporters this season. Los Blancos will debut at their home on September 3 against Real Betis with an important novelty compared to last year. Some of the blue banners that covered the lower stands of the stadium will be removed this season.
Up to 8,000 more seats than last season will be available now. It must be kept in mind that the stadium's construction will be finished in the summer of 2023, by which time only the Madrid Coliseum will have full capacity.
Due to the stadium's renovation, the stadium could previously only host 62,000 spectators per game. The white club can now count on 70,000 fans to support the team thanks to recent advancements, though that number is still far below the maximum capacity which will be available only at the beginning of the next season hopefully.
