Vinicius Junior continues to face scrutiny over his performances at Real Madrid, with criticism of the Brazilian forward increasing in recent weeks. Amid the debate surrounding his form, former Madrid winger Sávio Bortolini has shared his views on his compatriot's situation in an interview with AS.
Sávio, who played for Real Madrid between 1997 and 2002 and won three Champions League titles with the club, believes Vinicius needs to regain his confidence and focus fully on his performances. He stressed the importance of hard work and mental strength in overcoming a difficult period.
The former winger also recalled that Vinicius faced criticism during his early years at the Bernabéu before developing into one of the team's most important players during their European successes. With that in mind, Sávio remains confident that his compatriot can overcome his current struggles and return to his best level.
