Real Madrid are preparing for a challenging September after the international break, that will see them play five games in two weeks (four in LaLiga and one in the Champions League).
On matchday five of the league, on Sunday, Ancelotti's team will host Real Sociedad in an effort to keep their perfect record and the first spot in the standings. After three days, Real Madrid will open the 2023–24 Champions League season against Union Berlin on Wednesday, September 20, at the Santiago Bernabéu.
After their first game in Europe, they return to league play on Sunday, 24 with the first derby of the year at the Cvitas Metropolitano. The team finishes the month with two more league games after playing Atlético. They will host UD Las Palmas on Wednesday, September 27, and play Girona on Saturday, September 30, at Montilivi.
