Sergio Llull will continue to expand his legendary career at Real Madrid, having renewed his contract for one more season at the age of 36. This extension will see him complete 19 years with the club, the longest tenure in Real Madrid's history. Llull now holds the record for the most seasons played for the team with Rafa Rullán (1969-87). Other notable long-serving players include Fernando Romay and Juan Antonio Corbalán (17 seasons each), and Wayne Brabender and Clifford Luyk (16 seasons each). Llull stands as a myth among legends.

Llull debuted for Real Madrid in the 2006-07 season after transferring from Manresa. His career launched under coach Joan Plaza on May 17, 2007, in a game against Valencia Basket. Since then, he has amassed 28 titles, including three Euroleagues (2015, 2018, and 2023).

Llull's impact transcends his on-court statistics. His leadership in the locker room is unparalleled, embodying the values of Real Madrid. As the team faces the departures of veteran players Rudy Fernández and Sergio Rodríguez, Llull's influence will be more crucial than ever, serving as a guiding force and example for the new players.
