Sergio Llull made his first EuroLeague appearance of the season against Panathinaikos and set another historic record, becoming the player with the most seasons in the competition's history with 20. He moved one ahead of Lithuanian Paulius Jankunas and Greek Georgios Printezis, who both played 19 seasons. Even more remarkably, Llull has achieved the milestone representing just one club: Real Madrid.
The Real Madrid captain continues to add records to his outstanding European career. He is already the competition's all-time leader in appearances (488), victories (334) and three-pointers made (713).
Llull made his EuroLeague debut on February 14, 2008, in a victory over Zalgiris Kaunas at the Palacio de Vista Alegre. Over the years, he has established himself as one of the greatest figures in European basketball. He was selected among the 25 best players in EuroLeague history and included in the competition's All-Decade Team for 2010-2020.
The player from Mahón has won three EuroLeague titles with Real Madrid (2015, 2018 and 2023), claimed the MVP award in the 2016-17 season and earned a place in the All-EuroLeague First Team that same year. He was also named to the Second Team in 2010-11.
Players with the most seasons in the EuroLeague:
Llull: 20 seasons
Jankunas and Printezis: 19 seasons
Felipe Reyes, Juan Carlos Navarro, Zizis, Sloukas and Papanikolaou: 17 seasons
