Sergio Scariolo will continue as Real Madrid coach despite a disappointing season in which the team failed to win any titles, missing out on five trophies including the Super Cup, Copa del Rey, EuroLeague, Liga ACB, and the upcoming Super Cup.
In a club where trophyless seasons are rarely tolerated and have historically led to managerial changes, such an outcome would normally place a coach under serious pressure.
However, this will not be the case for the Italian coach, who still has two years remaining on his contract. According to reports, his continuity was influenced by Florentino Pérez’s re-election as Real Madrid president, which has helped secure his position for the upcoming season.
Scariolo’s future had been under discussion in recent days, but the club’s renewed leadership has opted to maintain stability on the bench rather than make another coaching change.
