American singer Taylor Swift has released her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, a 12-track record that arrived early Friday morning. The project is filled with personal reflections and emotional storytelling.
Several songs touch on her relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce, though it’s not the only nod to the world of sports. In the track Wi$h Li$t, the Pennsylvania-born artist references Real Madrid.
“They want that freedom, to live outside the system. They want those three dogs they call their children. And that good surfing, without hypocrites. They want it all. They want a contract with Real Madrid,” the lyrics read. Here, Real Madrid is portrayed as a symbol of prestige and luxury.
Swift had already made her mark in the Spanish capital with a concert at the Santiago Bernabéu in May 2024, before several later shows had to be canceled due to soundproofing issues at the venue.
