LaLiga president Javier Tebas has appeared in an interview with ESPN after the case of racism that occurred last Sunday at Mestalla with the Real Madrid player Vinicius Junior.
"Here is a question that I always ask my team: when many people understand the message in one way, they are right. So I have to regret it," said the LaLiga president.
"I think that the message, and the intention that it had, an important part (of the people), especially in Brazil, did not understand. I did not want to attack Vinicius, but if the majority of the people understood it that way, I need to apologize. It was not my intention. I expressed myself badly, at a bad time ... But I had no intention of attacking Vinicius, but rather to clarify a situation, because Vinicius had recorded a video supporting the actions of LaLiga", Tebas claimed.
