The Spanish National Sports Council (CSD) is considering disciplinary action against Javier Tebas, the president of LaLiga, over his comparison of Real Madrid's communication methods to those used in Nazi Germany.

According to laSexta, the case is currently being reviewed by the CSD's legal department. The next step would be to file a complaint with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), which would then have to rule on the matter.

Tebas could face disqualification by the Sports Administrative Tribunal (TAD) over his remarks about Real Madrid. Last Friday, the club called for his resignation in an official statement, declaring: "It is intolerable and extremely serious that someone who holds two positions of maximum responsibility in Spanish football resorts to a comparison with the propaganda methods of the Nazi regime to discredit our club, its management and its television channel."

The CSD is reportedly considering the precedent set by Luis Rubiales, who was disqualified in 2023 following his non-consensual kiss of Jenni Hermoso and obscene gestures in the VIP box during celebrations after Spain won the Women's World Cup in Australia.

The TAD subsequently imposed a three-year ban on Rubiales. A similar disciplinary process could now be considered in Tebas' case.
