The world-famous Real Madrid side, known as 'Los Galácticos,' was brought together under the leadership of Florentino Pérez. This era featured an array of world football talents, including Luis Figo, Ronaldo, Zinedine Zidane, Raúl González, Roberto Carlos, Fernando Hierro, and David Beckham. Their mission was to elevate the club to unprecedented heights. Although this historic era didn't yield the expected number of titles, it laid the foundation to demonstrate that Real Madrid was the only team with the financial muscle to assemble such a unique collection of stars.

The Galácticos era marked a significant turning point in modern football. Pérez's vision exploited the full potential of the 'Real Madrid brand' in international markets. "You have to have the best on the field and also off the field," he once said. His bold dream aligns perfectly with the saying: "A man with new ideas is a madman until his ideas succeed." This sporting, economic, and marketing model, both praised and criticized by rivals, eventually became an exemplar of how sport could reinvent itself.

The 'Galactic Era,' regarded as the most ambitious team ever, aimed to transform football into a multi-million dollar industry and a convergence of glamour and celebrities. However, on the pitch, results didn't always meet expectations. Unexpected defeats, such as the Copa del Rey Final against Depor, and poor runs in the Champions League, marred their journey. The famous slogan 'Zidanes and Pavones' highlighted the mix of megastars like Beckham and Zidane with youth academy talents.

Despite internal policies leading to financial success, sporting performance faltered, and this unforgettable team disbanded after the 2005-06 season. Eighteen years later, Real Madrid is once again assembling a star-studded team for a tour in the United States, featuring matches against AC Milan, Barcelona, and Chelsea.

"Everyone knows that I work to bring the best players in the world," Pérez has reiterated. This season, he has united three of the four most valuable footballers globally: Kylian Mbappé, Vinicius Jr., and Jude Bellingham. The new Galáctica 2.0 era also boasts world-class talents like Thibaut Courtois, Luka Modric, Antonio Rüdiger, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Dani Carvajal, Éder Militão, Federico Valverde, and Rodrygo.

With an average age of 26 and a similarly ambitious vision, this new lineup aims to dominate the football world both financially and on the field. While the era led by Cristiano Ronaldo could be considered a version 2.0, Real Madrid has never been closer to assembling the most valuable players in one squad: Bellingham (180M), Mbappé (180M), and Vinicius (180M). Only Erling Haaland (180M) rivals them. The squad also includes high-value players like Valverde (120M), Rodrygo (110M), Camavinga (100M), and Tchouaméni (100M).
