In preparation for the big day, the Bernabéu looks stunning. After 89 days of non-stop work, the stadium is ready to debut its new look against Getafe in the league. Even though there are still some finishing touches to be made with just over 24 hours till the event, the interior view of the stadium shows that it is set and ready for the start of the game this Saturday at 4:15 p.m. in front of more than 84,000 fans. Tthe new Bernabéu is a reality now.

In the past few days, there was a race against time. On Monday, the laying of the grass on the six retractable trays was completed, and during the week the seats were installed in the sectors of the stands that have been affected by the works this summer. Yesterday only the seats of the honor box were pending. There will still be fans who sit in their old seats, but many sectors already have brand new seats. Among them, the 1,600 seats of the Fans Stand, which will return to its location in the upper and lower stands at the south end. The venue will increase its capacity to 84,744 spectators thanks to a new stand that has been built as a fifth amphitheater on the east side. The VIP boxes offer a new experience now with the option of watching the game inside the box or in the stands.

Fans will be able to witness a lot of new features tomorrow. The first amphitheater's LED ring is finished, and you can already see a part of the 360-degree video scoreboard's panels in the two backgrounds, which will soon become one of the stadium's icons.

The plan is to make the grand opening of the stadium on Christmas Eve. But it will depend on the deadlines. Although the part for holding the matches is practically completed, the entire commercial part and the urbanization of the outside of the stadium still need to be enabled. If the ceremony is finally delayed, possible dates such as March 6, 2024 emerge, taking advantage of the 122nd anniversary of the club's founding.

There is no doubt that the new Bernabéu will be visible in all its glory in 2024. The League schedule has placed Real Madrid's important home matches in the second half of the season. On February 4 (matchday 23), the derby will take place, and on April 21, the Clásico will (matchday 32).

A new era begins very soon.
