The newspaper El Mundo has published new details related to the Civil Guard report on the Negreira case requested by the investigating court.

The Civil Guard warns in its report that the Negreira case could lead to "a loss of credibility in the cleanliness and honorability of football in Spain that, beyond the criminal reproach itself, could cause sporting and non-sporting consequences at a national or international level". Furthermore, the Civil Guard believes that this whole scandal could have negative consequences for Barcelona in the future.

It is important to keep in mind that on Saturday, El Mundo also published another paragraph concluding that all of the investigated individuals' testimonies are "null, incoherent, and contradictory." The stories of the Barça presidents participating in the operation (Joan Gaspart, Joan Laporta, Sandro Rosell, and José Mara Bartomeu) are really referred to as "dubious" by the Civil Guard.

The same investigation also revealed that arbitration in Spain was not "impartial" between 2001 and 2018, a period when Barcelona paid Enriquez Negreira more than eight million euros in return for statements, made by the son of the former vice president of the Technical Committee of Referees, that the Civil Guard has also deemed to be "completely false."
