Michael Olise was on Real Madrid’s radar following an impressive 2025/26 season with Bayern Munich. The Spanish club showed interest in the French winger but were met with a firm response from the German side, who were unwilling to negotiate his departure during the summer transfer window.

According to the reports, Florentino Pérez was particularly impressed by the Frenchman's qualities, while Kylian Mbappé is also said to have spoken with Olise about the prospect of playing for Real Madrid.

The interest reportedly went both ways, with Olise privately expressing his desire to play for Real Madrid one day. However, Bayern remained firm in their position and had no intention of selling one of their star players.

Bild even suggested that an offer of more than €220 million could have forced Bayern to reconsider, although Real Madrid never came close to making such a proposal. Faced with Bayern's enormous demands and their refusal to negotiate, the Spanish club ultimately decided against pursuing a deal.

Real Madrid's interest in Olise was genuine, and the player was reportedly open to the possibility of moving to the Bernabéu, but Bayern succeeded in keeping hold of the French winger.
