If one comes, another must depart. Maybe someone more. The return of Facundo Campazzo to Real Madrid could result in significant changes at the point guard position for next season. In fact, none of the present game directors have his continuity guaranteed.

Sergio Llull, an icon of the basketball section's golden age, renewed his contract last summer until 2024, but it is unclear whether he will fulfill that second year considering his performance and physical problems. But, performances like the one in the final act of the fifth game against Partizán, with eight points almost in a row, can change that perception. As the entity's captain and legend, he has considerable authority in the locker room.

Sergio Rodrguez signed a 1+1 contract last summer. The club has control over his future. The point guard was instrumental in the remarkable comeback against Partizán. He has been outstanding throughout the tie, but his performance throughout the full season has not indicated that he will continue. He will be 37 years old next June, yet he still has his magic. This team performs better with him.

Nigel Williams-Goss's contract expires on June 30. In his two seasons at Real Madrid, he has only played his best basketball on a few occasions, such as the third game in Belgrade. Physical issues have kept him from being consistent. Unless for a stunning season finale, it appears that it will be hard for him to continue.

Carlos Alocén has one year left on his five-year contract, which he signed in 2019. He spent the first year on loan in Zaragoza. Going out on loan again could be in his future if he recovers from his catastrophic injury: a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

Real Madrid also have shown interest in Darius Thompson (Cazoo Baskonia), who has several admirers in Europe, particularly in Italy, because he has an Italian passport; and Alberto Daz, who has one year left on his contract and for whom Unicaja have already stated that they will not negotiate. Also, the future of the youngster Matteo Spagnolo, who is now on loan at Aquila Basket Trento and performing well, is unknown.
