Real Madrid is reportedly interested in signing Aymeric Laporte from Al-Nassr to strengthen their defense, with the player already giving his approval for the move. Laporte, who has long been on Madrid’s radar, is keen to return to Europe, and joining the Spanish giants would be an ideal opportunity for him. According to journalist Eduardo Inda, who shared this information on El Chiringuito de Jugones, the defender is eager to wear the famous white shirt.
However, there are two significant obstacles to this potential transfer. The first challenge is the transfer fee, as Al-Nassr is reportedly demanding €30 million for Laporte. The second issue involves the player’s current salary, which is a substantial €20 million net per year in Saudi Arabia. Real Madrid is looking to significantly reduce this amount, offering a salary in the range of €5 million to €6 million, which would require Laporte to accept a significant pay cut.
While the transfer is not simple, Real Madrid's pursuit of Laporte shows their determination to reinforce their defensive line, especially following the injury setbacks of key players like Éder Militão.
