According to River Plate, the total value of the transfer amounts to €63.2 million (approx. $72.6 million), broken down as follows: €45 million: Release clause paid to River Plate, €11.8 million: Taxes payable to the Spanish tax authorities, €1.4 million: Unionized footballers' fund, €0.9 million: AFA (Argentine Football Association) Structural Fund, €3.6 million: Payment in accordance with Decree 510/2023 and €0.5 million: Other fees
Although the signing is complete, Mastantuono still has one final mission with River Plate — competing in the Club World Cup. His imminent transfer to Real Madrid only adds to the anticipation surrounding the tournament. Intriguingly, Real Madrid and River Plate could potentially meet in the quarterfinals, depending on the results.
