There’s no bigger derby in Spain than the Madrid Derby, and it gets even more intense when it unfolds in the Champions League.

In the first leg, Real Madrid came out on top, securing a crucial victory with a brilliant second-half goal by Brahim Díaz. The Moroccan winger, alongside Fede Valverde, was arguably the standout player for Los Blancos.

After the final whistle, a group of Atlético Madrid fans gathered outside the Santiago Bernabéu to show their support for their defeated team. Among them was one fan who, despite the painful loss, had a special admiration for Brahim. In a surprising gesture, the fan shouted praises for the Real Madrid star and handed him a Real Madrid badge as a token of appreciation.

But there was an interesting twist to this Atlético fan's love for Brahim. The fan explained to puzzled onlookers that his admiration stemmed from Brahim’s decision to switch nationality from Spain to Morocco.

"I just gave him the Real Madrid badge. He is the best player in our national team (I'm from Morocco), and I really love him," the fan explained.

"He played perfectly, scored a fantastic goal... I cheer for Atlético, but I’m very glad for Brahim and for how he killed Atlético with that goal," the fan added.
