Real Madrid could play nine games in four different competitions during the month of February: five in the League, two in the Club World Cup, one in the Copa del Rey and one in the Champions League.
Everything will start this Thursday with the game against Valencia, which was postponed because of the Spanish Super Cup that was held in Saudi Arabia at the beginning of January. On Sunday our team will travel to Mallorca to continue focusing on the domestic competition, while next week they will play another two games, Wednesday and Saturday, but this time in the Club World Cup to be held in Rabat.
Real Madrid will host Elche on the 15th of the month at the Santiago Bernabéu, and that following weekend they will travel to face Osasuna in a challenging match. The Champions League will return on February 21 and real rock and roll will start. The first match will be between Ancelotti's team and Liverpool at Anfield, which will serve as the first leg of the round of 16. Atlético will visit the Bernabéu on March 25 in a League match, while the first leg of the Copa del Rey semifinals against Barcelona will be played at the Madrid Coliseum on March 2 or 3.
Real Madrid will therefore play nine very high-demanding games in 29 days, or one game every 3.2 days. Ancelotti and his coaching staff face a hectic schedule where they must consistently do their best to pass it successfully.
