Trent Alexander-Arnold's move to Real Madrid is reportedly almost a done deal, according to journalist Ramón Álvarez de Mon. The agreement between the English right-back and the Spanish giants is said to be finalized for a free transfer in 2025, though there is a possibility the transfer could happen as early as the winter window.

“If nothing goes wrong, Real Madrid will sign Trent Alexander-Arnold,” Álvarez de Mon revealed on his YouTube channel. He explained that the club had been closely monitoring Alexander-Arnold’s contract situation at Liverpool and became increasingly optimistic as it became clear he wouldn’t renew his contract with the Reds.

The journalist added, “Once Carvajal’s injury happened, I asked again, and Real Madrid informed me that the Alexander-Arnold deal was progressing, and they are even considering bringing him in by January. The player has already agreed to the terms, including salary, signing bonus, and contract length. Real Madrid is confident that the signing will happen, as Alexander-Arnold has accepted the financial terms.”

Álvarez de Mon also highlighted that it wasn’t an easy decision for Alexander-Arnold to part ways with Liverpool, given his deep connection with the club as a youth academy graduate and lifelong fan. However, the defender feels the need for a new challenge and wants to be at a club that consistently competes for major titles every season.
