Trent Alexander-Arnold and Antonio Rüdiger could be back in Álvaro Arbeloa’s squad for Real Madrid’s La Liga match against Rayo Vallecano on matchday 22.
Both defenders trained with the group in the latest session, and a final decision on their availability will be made on Saturday.
Alexander-Arnold has been out the longest after picking up a hamstring injury at San Mamés against Athletic Club in December, while Rüdiger was forced off during the Spanish Super Cup in early January. Their return would provide a timely boost for Arbeloa as Madrid continue a demanding stretch of the season.
