Trey Lyles, a 10-year NBA veteran, is set to continue his career in Europe by joining EuroLeague giants Real Madrid, according to BasketNews.
The 29-year-old Canadian power forward, selected 12th overall in the 2015 NBA Draft, will make the move overseas for the first time after a decade in the NBA. Encestando was the first to report that Lyles is Madrid-bound.
Lyles has appeared in 650 NBA games (131 starts) with the Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets, San Antonio Spurs, Detroit Pistons, and most recently, the Sacramento Kings.
Throughout his career, he has averaged 7.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in 18.4 minutes per game, shooting 34.7% from three-point range.
Last season with Sacramento, Lyles contributed 6.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in under 20 minutes of action, providing reliable depth for the Kings.
His arrival is expected to add frontcourt versatility and experience to Real Madrid as they look to strengthen their bid for domestic and European titles.
