Today marks 20 years since Ronaldo Nazario joined Real Madrid. On August 31, 2002, with just a few minutes left before the transfer window closed, our club signed one of the greatest forwards in football history after lengthy negotiations. The Brazilian started his legacy at Real Madrid, where he was introduced two days later alongside club president Florentino Pérez and Alfredo Di Stéfano.

In 177 appearances with Real Madrid, Ronaldo scored 104 goals. He immediately displayed his incredible goal-scoring prowess. In fact, he opened his club account in a matter of seconds after scoring in the encounter with Alavés at the Bernabéu.

His skills were enjoyed by madridistas for five seasons, during which time he led the team to two La Liga titles, a Spanish Super Cup, and one Intercontinental Cup, for which he was named Man of the Match. In the 2003–04 season, he also won the Pichichi Trophy.
