The Valencia-Real Madrid match, initially postponed due to the DANA tragedy, now has a confirmed date. According to the National Second Instance Committee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), the game will take place on January 3, 2025, at 9:00 p.m. at Mestalla Stadium. This decision follows the appeal by the Spanish Footballers' Association (AFE), which successfully overturned the original ruling that set the match for January 2, 2025.
Initially, the Sole Judge of Professional Competitions scheduled the match for January 2, 2025, at 8:00 p.m., but the AFE opposed this date, citing the agreement that footballers should not play official matches between December 23 and January 2. The appeal by the AFE proposed the match be played on January 3, a suggestion that has now been accepted.
