Lucas Vázquez has already faced a fun welcome challenge at his new club, Bayer Leverkusen. The Spanish winger was asked to choose between his two former Real Madrid teammates, Dani Carvajal and Toni Kroos—but he simply couldn’t decide.
“The first one is very difficult, eh… both of them. Both of them, I can’t get involved there, it’s like choosing between mom and dad. They are very good friends of mine, I can’t, I can’t,” said Vázquez with a smile.
The light-hearted moment shows just how close his bond remains with his ex-Real Madrid colleagues, even as he embarks on a new adventure in the Bundesliga.
