Real Madrid have reportedly made a final decision regarding Franco Mastantuono's immediate future, with the club planning to send the young Argentine on loan next season.

According to journalist Rodra, Real Madrid are already exploring opportunities across Europe to find the ideal destination for the midfielder's development, while a return to River Plate is considered increasingly unlikely.

Mastantuono arrived at the Santiago Bernabéu last summer with high expectations, but adapting to the demands of European football and Real Madrid has proven challenging during his first season at the club.

Discussing the player's situation, Rodra revealed that several clubs are monitoring him ahead of the transfer window.

“Mastantuono is being linked with clubs in Italy, and he also has some options in Spain. Specifically, Villarreal and Betis. I don't see much of a chance for River Plate. This year it's going to be a loan move, and he'll have the opportunity to prove himself more. He's lacked quite a few things on the pitch to be able to play for Real Madrid this season.”

A move to a club such as Villarreal or Betis could provide Mastantuono with regular playing time in La Liga while allowing him to continue his development in a competitive environment. Both clubs could also offer the opportunity to compete in European competitions.

The report suggests that Real Madrid remain confident in the player's long-term potential, but believe a loan spell is the best option to help him gain experience and determine whether he can eventually establish himself at the Santiago Bernabéu.
