One of Real Madrid's main objectives this summer was to finally resolve Vinícius Júnior's future. The Brazilian left for the World Cup without signing a contract extension, with his previous deal entering its final year. Upon his return from vacation, the player and club resumed negotiations and, despite some initial disagreements, eventually reached an agreement.

Both sides understood that concessions were needed to extend their partnership. Real Madrid improved their offer, while Vinícius agreed to the club's conditions, including a commitment to focus fully on football. The result was a new six-year contract that will keep the Brazilian at the Santiago Bernabéu until June 2032.

Marca has now revealed further details about the negotiations through Thiago Freitas, Chief Operating Officer of ROC Nation, who spoke to the Spanish newspaper about the process.

“The agreement between Vini and Real Madrid was like a trilogy of romantic comedies. Throughout the films, there are conflicts, problems, but we all know how it ends: with a big kiss and everyone happy.”

Freitas also made it clear that neither the player nor his representatives were seriously considering leaving Real Madrid.

"Look at the history of all the players who have played for Real Madrid in the last 20-30 years. None of them wanted to leave."
