The International Center for Sports Studies (CIES) has released one of its customary rankings. 50 players from the so-called "generation 2000" are highlighted as having the "greatest impact" in football. In the top we can see Vinicius Junior, a prominent figure in Spanish football. The Real Madrid winger has significantly improved over the past year and now considered one of the best in the world.
There are notable names in the ranking specially in the Top Ten. It is odd that all ten players who were born in 2000 and are having the "greatest impact" play in Europe. It is also odd that Erling Haaland, who is ranked seventh, is on the list but not in the top 5.
There is another Real Madrid player on the list. Aurélien Tchouaméni, the french midfielder, who is making Casemiro be forgotten in a record time in the white house.
