Vitinha has publicly addressed the reported interest from Real Madrid — and his response leaves little room for interpretation.

The Portuguese midfielder, a key figure at Paris Saint-Germain under Luis Enrique, spoke on the program Soltinhos pelo Mundo and made his stance clear.

“It would be foolish of me to leave,” Vitinha said when asked about the possibility of joining the Spanish side. He added that he does not believe a move would be the best decision for him at this stage, stressing that he feels comfortable and valued in Paris.

The midfielder also highlighted the quality of the PSG squad and reserved special praise for Luis Enrique, describing him as “an incredible coach.” Beyond the sporting project, Vitinha emphasized the emotional connection he feels at the club: “I feel the appreciation of the fans and I feel that I’ve earned that affection,” he explained, underlining that his bond with PSG goes beyond contractual obligations.

Although a potential move to Madrid was already considered unlikely, the player’s own words appear to shut the door completely. As a result, Real Madrid will need to continue exploring alternatives in the market ahead of next season.

Among the profiles linked to the club remain Adam Wharton and Kees Smit. With months still to go before the summer transfer window opens, Madrid’s midfield planning remains very much in motion.
