Real Madrid and Walter Tavares have agreed to extend his contract, binding him to the club for the next five seasons.

In his seven seasons with the club, Tavares has secured 14 titles: 2 European Cups, 4 Leagues, 2 Copas del Rey, and 6 Spanish Super Cups.

Tavares has been named in the Euroleague best five three times (2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23), and the League best five three times (2018/19, 2020/21, 2022/23). He has also won the Final Four MVP (2023), the Endesa League Final MVP (2021/22), and the Spanish Super Cup MVP (2022). Furthermore, he has been named Euroleague Best Defender three times (2018/19, 2020/21, 2022/23) and Endesa League Best Defender four times (2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24).

Since joining the club, Walter Tavares has become a key player for Real Madrid and one of the top players in Europe, contributing significantly to one of the most successful periods in the club's history.
