At a special WWE Smackdown event in Barcelona on Friday (March 14), several Barcelona players, including Lamine Yamal, were among the crowd for an exciting night of wrestling action. However, things took an unexpected turn when WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther decided to stir the crowd.
Addressing the Barcelona audience, Gunther cheekily remarked, "I just have one regret. I wish we were in Madrid instead," immediately provoking a strong reaction from the Culers in attendance. He further trolled them by shouting Real Madrid's iconic slogan, "Hala Madrid!"—a bold move, especially with Yamal and his teammates Héctor Fort and Alejandro Balde sitting nearby.
Though the cameras didn’t capture the reactions of the Barcelona players, the crowd erupted with jeers, clearly riled up by Gunther’s playful declaration of Real Madrid’s superiority. The moment highlighted Gunther’s awareness of the rivalry, making it a memorable—and entertaining—moment for the Barcelona fans.
