According to Pipi Estrada, Xabi Alonso wants to part ways with a key figure who has been part of the club for many years. The issue centers around Antonio Pintus, a highly respected staff member who enjoys the full confidence of the Real Madrid hierarchy.
“He has a situation to resolve. He needs to decide what to do with a man who is extremely important to the club and who has the complete trust of Real Madrid’s top management, Antonio Pintus. He has a contract with the first team, and Xabi has said he would let him go. The club is suggesting that he keep him, that he make use of his experience, but Xabi remains firm that there is no place for him in his staff,” Estrada explained on El Chiringuito de Jugones.
“The club is saying that letting Pintus go would waste his talent and they are asking how his role could be preserved. Xabi is completely inflexible, and this could open another internal front. We will see whether it gets resolved or not,” he concluded.
