Xabi Alonso has introduced a strict new rule at Real Madrid to guarantee punctuality during training sessions.
According to Defensa Central, the Spanish coach will now fine any player who is not on the pitch when he blows the first whistle to start training. The financial penalty applies to everyone in the squad without exception.
The aim is to instill discipline and ensure that all players arrive on time, ready to work.
Dani Ceballos reportedly became the first to fall foul of the new rule, arriving late for training on Sunday, August 10, 2025, and consequently receiving the fine.
