Xabi Alonso addressed the media ahead of Real Madrid’s Champions League showdown against Juventus at the Santiago Bernabéu. The fixture, part of Matchday 3, comes after Madrid secured two consecutive victories against Marseille and Kairat. Another win would move the Spanish side a step closer to qualification for the knockout stages.
Speaking about one of his standout players, Alonso highlighted his immense talent and influence: “Because of his quality, he’s a mix between Özil and Guti. Guti had the skill to play both near the build-up and as an attacker. I also really enjoyed playing alongside Mesut. We have to keep pushing him and supporting him, but we’re very pleased with the impact he’s having on the team’s play.”
