Xabi Alonso has commented on rumors that he could join Real Madrid as a coach in 2024.
It was reported earlier this week that the former Los Blancos midfielder is on the club's short list to succeed Carlo Ancelotti when the Italian manager's contract expires at the end of the season.
Alonso was asked about the latest news, and he insisted there is nothing at this stage.
"It’s too early to talk about this, we’re in September, so it’s not an issue to discuss”, he said.
"Both the players and I know how football works, it’s not a problem for anyone, and we have not talked about it."
