Although Real Madrid usually do not sign players in the winter, this doesn't mean that they stop searching for and monitoring certain talents who can become real targets in the future.

Among them is Girona's Yan Couto, whose contract with City Group ends in 2025 and who fulfills the profile of a player who can play for a decade (21 years old) and is a proven talent.

This season, Girona is the team that is surprising all of Europe, and the full-back is one of its reference players, worth following and monitoring. So much so that Couto entered Brazil's squad last October, making his debut against Venezuela and starting against Uruguay.

The Brazilian has been linked to the club, but as of right now, nothing has gone beyond the information phase. He shines offensively, but he never forgets his main mission, which is to defend.

Couto's contract with Manchester City expires in 2025. The English team paid six million euros for him in March 2020. He was loaned to Girona in 2020–21, then to Sporting de Braga, and back to the Catalan team in 2022–23. A few days ago, on the Catalan club's own social media, he revealed that he admired Cristiano Ronaldo and that his dream was to play for Real Madrid.

There has been speculation in England that City intends to bring the Brazilian back at the end of this season, which would entail extending the player's contract. They have no decision yet, nor do Real Madrid at this moment.
