Martín Zubimendi has been closely linked with Real Madrid in recent weeks. The Real Sociedad star, who is also a key player for the Spanish national team, has drawn attention for his game intelligence, prompting Real Madrid to track him for some time.
However, Real Madrid isn't the only club interested in Zubimendi. Last week, Atlético de Madrid reportedly made an offer to Real Sociedad, but it was immediately rejected. The Basque club referred to Zubimendi’s release clause, set at €60 million.
Despite this, reports from Eduardo Inda suggest that Zubimendi’s plans don’t include a move to Atlético or the Premier League. According to Inda, "Zubimendi wants to play for Real Madrid." This could make the San Sebastian-born midfielder one of the standout transfers as Real Madrid look to strengthen their midfield.
